Hello There.

I am a designer. But I am also an outdoor enthusiast, proficient mixologist, and lover of all dogs. I have a passion for learning and leading—I enjoy collaborating with people that celebrate creative thinking and are open to exploring new ideas.

I am currently operating as a remote Freelance Graphic Designer—with both digital and print experience. Previously, I worked as a Creative & Brand Manager at Faultless Brands overseeing a team of designers, social media strategists, and a photographer to facilitate projects across our family consumer goods brands (Lively, Faultless, Niagara, Magic, Bon Ami, Kleen King, Faultless Professional, Trapp Fragrances, and Fade—with the hyperlinked brands being the priority) . I have past agency experience working as a Senior Graphic Designer at Mittera (Creative Services), working on a variety of clients including Shell (with Pennzoil, Rotella, Jiffy Lube, and Quaker State), higher education clients (with Los Angelos Southwest College, St Mary's College, and Wilson College), grocery store chains (with HyVee and Schnucks), and others. I also worked as a Graphic Designer at Barkley in Kansas City on the Payless Shoesource team focusing on design and concepts for their website, social media, and digital ads. I graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Visual Communication with a concentration in graphic design.

I am passionate about branding + identity and how that system rolls out across digital and print applications (websites, social media, brand collateral, brochures, event signage—you name it!). I also have experience with photography (specifically art directing, product styling, and photo retouching with some exposure to shooting as well) and I dabble in code and animation. My process typically starts with research and hand-drawn sketches to help “visually test” an idea; then I make refinements with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to render and layout designs.

When I am not exploring creative solutions for a project, I enjoy cooking with ingredients from my garden, taking my dogs to the park to be my disc golf companions, basically all DIY projects, and volunteering in the local community through organizations like the American Advertising Federation (AAF-KC) serving as the Immediate Past President of Ad 2 KC, KC Design Week, and The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party benefiting Operation Breakthrough.

Check out my resume.

Always design a thing by considering it in its next larger context—a chair in a room, a room in a house, a house in a environment, an environment in a city plan.
