Birthday Girl World Brand Refresh
Birthday Girl is a lifestyle brand that helps women everywhere celebrates LIFE everyday, but especially on their birthday! The founder of the company, Starshell, created the CELEBRATE LIFE movement to honor her younger sister who was lost to suicide at age 14. A portion of sales is donated to suicide prevention organizations.
The Birthday Girl brand refresh is a balance between party and positivity—the colors are bright and fun, while the layout and typefaces are more minimal and clean. The goal was to embody the “birthday spirit” while still being genuine and tying back to suicide prevention. I worked with the client to develop everything needed for a full, multi-channel brand refresh. This included: packaging for shipping merchandise, social media content, direct mail pieces, copywriting to establish a brand voice, building out graphics to support their new referral program, email designs, and providing a website layout and design recommendation.
